Evaporative coolers are devices able to lower the room temperature using the simple natural evaporation principle. Also called "evaporative fans", they are an excellent way to fight the summer heat through a pleasant and constant flow of fresh air.

How do Evaporative Coolers work? 

Evaporative coolers have an internal fan moving the air and caressing you with a pleasant breeze; moreover - through the evaporation of water and ice - are able to introduce lower temperature air into the environment.

Evaporative coolers, in fact, are equipped with a filtering system that makes the movement of the fan trigger the evaporation process, nebulising the water and the ice.

As you can see in the picture above, the hot air passes through an anti-dust filter with a purifying action and then through an evaporative panel.

This process makes the water or the ice contained in the internal cooling pan evaporate, generating fresh air.

These devices do not need either refrigerant gases or chemical components that, in addition to polluting the environment, make your electricity bill more expensive.

All you need is water or ice. These two elements must be placed in an internal tank that can hold several liters, in order to avoid overfilling; in this way, the device can work for hours or even all day long.

What are Evaporative Coolers advantages over Air Conditioning?
